We were invited by our neighbor to go to her in-law’s lake house today. Of course, we took her up on the offer. A day out of the house, in the sunshine, out by a lake? UMM, TIE MY HANDS BEHIND MY BACK, WHY DON’T YOU? We bought more sunscreen today, so hopefully I’m not a doofus in terms of allowing myself to get burnt. She said there’s a lot of shade so I should be okay. Though, I doubt I’d complain if my awkward tan evened out a little bit.

I am hoping to take a ton of pictures if we’re not too busy. We have the olympus to bring, which is waterproof and shockproof. I wasn’t super ecstatic when we bought it last year, but it’s sure come in handy at times where we wouldn’t have brought any of our other cameras with us, for fear of getting them wet, them breaking, etc.

I took the dogs on a 2.4 mile walk this morning, and basically dragged them into the house when we got back, so they should be cool in their crates for a few hours I would think. Normally we might bring Toby, but Ellie (the husky) can’t be trusted off leash, and the only enclosure they have is a short chain link fence. So, today, they will stay home and rest.
