Good memory and great deals

OKAY OKAY, I am officially updating only two days after my last update. I officially remembered my blog exists before two weeks passed me by.. I rock!

Today I totally forgot I have to take the dog to the vet. I’m actually pretty proud of myself. We’ve always had our dogs shots up to date, but we never remember exactly when they’re due. Yes, we have papers in our filing cabinet that tell us! Usually we get them within a month or two, haha. So I had made the appointment two weeks ago and last night I look on our white board and I’m like “oh crap, January 14th… Toby’s shots.. that’s tomorrow!” .. then I check my e-mail this morning. Reminder from the vet, Toby’s shots are due on January 14th, 2010.. NO WAY! I got it down to the day. Suhweet!

In other news, it’s 11 days until I move to Texas. I’m getting slightly panicky. We haven’t packed much yet.. I’ve got to get the ball rolling. Jeremiah’s taking Matthew camping this weekend for two nights. That was the original plan, then this morning he asked me to go. Honestly, I’d probably give in and suck it up, except theres SO much to do. I think two days without Matthew is a perfect opportunity to get some crap done.

I wanted to mention, also, that when Jeremiah made a purchase a few weeks ago on Amazon.. another camera lens *sigh* (at least this one was only $100..) he got a coupon for a free photo calendar from Shutterfly. Long story short, we’d ordered photo calendars for the in-laws and my mom for Christmas from Wal-Mart. Well, the ROYALLY forked it up so they got returned. We figured, now we can make them calendars and get one free! So I made two calendars, then Jeremiah said “Did you make one for my sister?”, because apparently after Christmas, Jeremiah told his sister we were making her one. So I made a third.. which was fine because they also had buy one get one 1/2 off. So one free, then we bought one for $19.99, and got one half off. We were up to $30, plus shipping which brought it to $46. Well, if you spend over $40 right now, you get free shipping (you see where this is going, yes?). So I go shopping (teehee), and find that address labels are on sale for $7.99. YAY! Address labels for the new house. Then I’ve got $2 left to spend. I figure I’ll order some individual prints, so I start uploading to their website. Turns out, for being a new customer, you get 50 free prints. DAMNIT! I just want to spend two dollars! So I figure, I’ll just order more than 50. Do you know how hard that is?

In the end, I end up with 3 calendars, 28 address labels (they are SO cute, by the way), and 64 prints. I got all that for $40 (since I had free shipping) rather than $46 for just the three calendars. SCORE! I got the address labels and the prints in the mail within 2 days. The labels are gorgeous, the prints are high quality. I can’t wait to get the calendars. I will definitely post about them, especially if they turn out awesome, which I’m hoping for. :D

YAY for you remembering the date to take Toby into get his shots was today. Yeah, It's hard packing up and moving but that's the thing that you have to get used to when you're married to the military. Awesome deals on the shopping though. =]

That's awesome the pics came out well and you got a nice deal on them which rocks. I hope you are able to get a lot done with Matthew gone for 2 days. I imagine it will be quite a bit easier.

Nice shopping! I don't know why you think it'll be easier to pack with Matthew gone. Toddlers are incredibly helpful, logical, patient, and have long attention spans.
