What is one way you fight naughty food cravings when you’re trying to eat well? I do pretty well except I do see the crap on TV and the internet, then Jeremiah will mention a craving and it sets me off. I know that diet supplements like hoodia are supposed to help with cravings.. has anyone tried anything like that?

I do really well with eating until we get cravings and it’s like they run rampant around the house until we all give in. :P

Yesterday I got up with Matthew and decided to walk down to the donut shop. Now, I know donuts are the best fat burner but I figured if I made the 1.6 mile round trip it would be worth something, right? I know it doesn’t make up for eating naughty, but I was craving sweets. So we walked to the donut shop, Matthew got a donut and chocolate milk, I got a small donut, a kolache and a diet soda. Halfway there it started raining a bit so it was slightly miserable but not TOO bad. We got back, dried off and went to Wal-Mart to get milk and eggs to last until payday. I feel like I was pretty productive, even if someone tends to disagree. ;P

We can’t help but consider the options, even if they sound crazy. So many people take drastic measures to try to retain their youthful appearance. Me? The most I’ll ever do is perhaps look for the best wrinkle cream. I wouldn’t mind putting a cream on my face daily if it is supposed to help, even a little bit, but I’d never go as far as surgery or injections. Wrinkles are natural and while I don’t want a billion, I’m not going to try to look 20 forever. I mean, if I end up looking young forever, I won’t complain.. haha. In the meantime I will watch the technology in creams and lotions develop and hopefully get what works well. :)

<div class=\"postavatar\">online-data-backup</div>

I have never been too careful with my website and other storage on my computer, so it’s just been my luck that I haven’t lost it all in some horrible crash. I do have stuff backed up to an external hard drive, but if I ever did have a crash I’d probably still lose a bit of stuff.

I should really consider online data backup. The internet will never go away, and it will always be there regardless of what computer I have, or if I even have a computer at all. I think everyone should look into extra storage for things they’d hate to lose.

One of the things I’ve considered in my weight loss journey is Hydroxycut hardcore. My husband, the ultimate critic and wannabe health nut (I only say wannabe because of his junk food addiction, hah) has used it and likes it, but more for it’s energy purposes.. but having energy helps you burn fat! I’ve looked into a lot of supplements over the years. I tend to try to find things occasionally that can help my energy and metabolism, since being diabetic for nearly 12 years has killed any of that function within my body. :P

Today wasn’t too eventful.. ran a few errands and just hung out at home with the kiddo. This morning we went to Academy and then to PetSmart. I revamped our tiny fish tank which I need to post a picture of.. I’m pretty proud of how *cute* I made a 5 gallon tank, heh. Also got crickets for the lizard, some sunglasses for Matthew and a toy guitar, which he’s been jamming out on all day. They happened to have metal detectors on sale and it never ceases to tempt me when I run across those things. I always wonder what I can find in my backyard or just walking down the street. :)

She has achieved so much and is only 26 (well, 27 in 4 days!!) years old. Not only has she owned her own business since she was, oh, 17? but now she owns around three different internet businesses, including advertising and now web design. In fact, she’s even branching out to do things like business card printing and design. I think that’s pretty darn cool.. to have multiple talents that keep up with the direction that technology is going, and at the same time, not have all your eggs in one basket. I admire her courage and strength so much! :)

During the crazy winter storms of ’11, we survived pretty well but I heard some of my more southern friends didn’t fare so well. They not only had the first sticky snow in more than 20 years, but it also rained sheets of ice that coated the roads. That, along with blackouts, and I’m pretty glad I wasn’t there. I do wish I could have helped, but unfortunately, until I buy stock in honda generators or something, I would have been no good. I enjoyed the snow we got, however, and we didn’t have any power outages or anything, thank goodness!

We are getting a little bit of money back on our taxes, and while most of it is going towards paying off the credit card, we are debating what to do with the little bit of leftover money. Jeremiah looked into it and thought perhaps we could pre-pay our car insurance, then we would know it’s going towards something useful. We already have the cheapest auto insurance we can find, so it’s not that much money to pre pay for the year. We might just put it in a savings account but what we for sure want to do, is not waste it. :P

One of the things I miss about working is actually wearing a uniform. I know, I’m crazy, but it’s true. I don’t like having to dress up and I enjoyed having a set thing to have to wear every day that I worked. I’m kind of jealous of those who get to wear nursing uniforms because many get to pick out what they want to wear in terms of cute colors/patterns/etc. Maybe I will start a ‘Stay at home mom’ uniform, haha.

What would you pick to wear if you had to wear a uniform every day? Obviously you’d have comfort and probably style in mind. :)
